To do this we use business contact details that the company has published (for example on its own website or in a business directory), the names of its directors from Companies House, and publicly visible information about its website. We use this only to make a one-to-one business approach, by email or phone, about our web design services. We never buy or sell contact lists.

Our lawful basis for this is legitimate interests: offering relevant services to businesses that may benefit from them. We may use AI tools (provided by Anthropic) to help research and write these messages; they act on our instructions under a data processing agreement.

We keep these details for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless you become a client. You can object at any time by replying "no" to our email or by emailing info@atomsites.co.uk. We will stop straight away and keep only a minimal record of your email address so that we don't contact you again.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (when you engage our services), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, and contacting businesses about our services as described in section 4), and compliance with legal obligations.

Project-related data is typically retained for 7 years in accordance with UK tax and accounting requirements. Details of businesses we have contacted but who have not become clients are deleted 12 months after our last contact, except a minimal record of anyone who has asked us not to contact them, which we keep so that we can respect that request.
